Frankston, TX (PRWEB) September 30, 2011

Nestled in the piney woods of East Texas, Insightout Studio & Kennel is a small business owned by career teachers, Dave and Bobbye Bolestridge. The kennel has welcomed the arrival of two litters of puppies that are now ready to be matched with their future homes.

The Bolestridges are committed to the philosophy that education and responsibility are fundamental to the care and well-being of any companion animal. That philosophy drives every aspect of their business. The primary goal at insightout is to ensure their puppies get the best chance for a successful, fulfilling life.

“The most important thing to us is that our puppies are placed in a safe and loving environment,” Dave said. “Our bulldogges add stability, routine and responsibility to their homes. In return they give love, loyalty, support and protection. A canine companion is a wonderful addition to an individual or family.”

The American Veterinary Medical Association estimates that 63 percent of all households in the United States have a pet. Each household averages 1.7 companion animals. According to the Humane Society of the United States, 78.2 million of the pets owned in the United States are dogs. The ASPCA reports that 7 to 9 million of these dogs enter shelters nationwide each year. Twenty five percent of all dogs that enter shelters are purebred, and 25 percent of those purebred dogs are bulldog breeds.

Dogs are the most typical victims of animal brutality as reported by Pet-Abuse.com. In 2007, bulldogs were the victims of roughly 25 percent of all reported dog abuse cases. Neglect and abandonment are cited as the most common forms of animal abuse in the United States.

“Many times, dogs are purchased as pets and simply forgotten. Animals in this situation don’t just gather dust. They are slowly starved or dehydrated to death - literally bled dry by parasite infestations, or slowly garroted by their own collars. Most people don’t intend to neglect a dog, it’s just they lose the new interest and get busy,” Bobbye said. “We don’t want our puppies to end up being part of those statistics.”

“We try to gather any information that will shed light on where our puppies will live,” Dave said, “We want to learn about the living conditions, family members, and other pets in the home. We also inquire about the prospective owner’s motive for buying an Olde English Bulldogge.” The process of placing puppies begins very early at Insightout, long before the screening of potential owners. The Bolestridges hand socialize every puppy and learn his or her individual personalities. They provide this information to anyone interested in owning one of their dogs.

In addition to educating, screening and socializing pups, the Bolestridges also offer a payment plan to help match the right dog to the right home. “A payment plan affords potentially good families opportunity and access to these great companions.” Dave said.

“The bottom line is that pets are dependent on their owners; therefore, it is incumbent on the owner to understand the needs of their pets and to take responsibility to attend to those needs,” Dave concluded.
